Weekend What’s Up: Jan. 6-8

In our monthly What’s Up magazine, our Editor’s Picks give you a heads-up about eight of the best events going on in Germany. But it’s hard to just pick eight, so here’s a more inclusive list! Each week, we will give you the need-to-know for on-base and regional events.

Saarbrücken: Ukrainian Christmas: In the orthodox tradition, Christmas Eve is traditionally January 6 (though some celebrated earlier on Dec. 25 due to the war). Spend the evening participating in Ukrainian Christmas activities. Languages spoken are Ukrainian and German.

Landstuhl Library (MWR): LEGO Free Build Hour: For all ages from 3:30-4:30 p.m., you can channel your inner builder and create Lego masterpieces.

Armstrong’s Club, Vogelweh Housing (MWR): Karaoke Night: Belt out your favorite tunes!

Landstuhl Community Club (MWR): Friday Night Pool Tournament: Test your skills and compete for first, second and third place.

USO Spangdahlem: Vision Board Party: At 10:30 a.m. or 4:30 p.m., you can meet up with others and chart out your 2023.


Armstrong’s Club: Vision Board Party: Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. invites you to come work on your vision board for 2023. $35 gets you supplies, vision board and snacks.
