Indian pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah has completed his rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru and is now set to lead the Indian attack against Australia in the three-match T20I series which starts on Tuesday (September 20) in Mohali. The premier fast bowler landed in Mohali on Saturday to take part in the home assignment against the defending T20 World Cup winners. The first T20I against the Aaron Finch-led side will be Bumrah’s first competitive match in more than two months’ time. He last played for India against England in the second ODI at the Lord’s Cricket Ground on July 14.
He was rested for the West Indies and Zimbabwe series, but was ruled out of the Asia Cup due to a back injury. He moved to NCA in Bengaluru to complete his rehabilitation process, and after successfully getting back to full fitness, he shared a picture with the fitness trainers of the facility and thanked them for helping him to get back to his full strength.

Taking to his social media accounts, Bumrah shared a picture with the three trainers and wrote a heartfelt message. “Can’t thank these men enough for their hardwork, expertise and all the hours they’ve put in to help me get back to the game,” Bumrah captioned.

Bumrah’s stint at the NCA helped him regain his full strength, and it was quite visible from some of the videos he shared via his Instagram handle.

In the video, which was shared a few days ago, Bumrah can be seen getting involved in some weight training at the gym, along with some exercises. More importantly, he was seen bowling in his usual run-up and was bending his back.

“Work and you’ll get what you need; work hard and you’ll get what you want,’ Bumrah captioned.

India missed Bumrah’s services in the recently concluded Asia Cup T20 tournament. But now he is fit and ready to lead the line of attack in upcoming bilateral assignments as well as the 2022 T20 World Cup.
